The Bay Area home features a striking design with concrete, steel, and glass, complemented by the extensive use of Faune Limestone. This versatile material enhances the indoor-outdoor living experience and seamlessly blends with the rolling landscape. All horizontal surfaces in the expansive property, including the pool and the terraces are Faune Limestone.
Indoors, the Faune Limestone floor creates a quiet, elegant aesthetic throughout the space to allow the art to shine. The family, who enjoy casual activities on the sport courts and by the pool, wanted outdoor areas to feel as well-appointed and inviting as the interiors. Using Faune Limestone flooring as her foundation, Nicole Hollis curated outdoor-grade furniture to maintain an indoor ambiance. The formal dining room’s walls open to an outdoor seating area with matching sofas and chairs. The stone landscape is designed for barefoot comfort, perfect for running outside, swimming, and vibrant family gatherings.
Stone Spotlight: Faune Limestone
As versatile as it is beautiful, Faune limestone is a dense and fine grained natural stone that is perfectly suited for a wide variety of applications and architectural styles. The subtly mottled shades of lighter and darker beige and gray blend well with occasional fine veining and small fossils to provide the perfect foil to other materials that make up a project’s palette.
