We are pleased to advise that we will be in California the week of August 19 – please let us know if you would like to schedule a meeting.
Nestled in the heart of St. Helena, the Napa Residence is a stunning testament to the seamless integration of architecture, landscape, and materials. Designed by the renowned Pfau Long Architecture and brought to life with meticulous attention by Grassi & Associates, this residence stands as a beacon of sophisticated design and natural harmony.
The project is beautifully highlighted in Heather Sandy Herbert’s “At Home in the Wine Country,” where the Napa Residence graces the cover, symbolizing a perfect blend of comfort, beauty and a profound connection to the land.
A standout feature of the Napa Residence is its use of Maiden Stone's Salvia Blue Limestone, expertly finished with flamed and bush hammered textures. This material choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also emphasizes durability and timelessness. The flamed finish offers a rich, tactile quality that contrasts the bush hammered texture, creating a dynamic interplay of surfaces that respond to light in unique ways.
Featured in Ron Lutsko’s book, "The Regional Landscape Architecture: Northern California: Rooted in Resilience," the Napa Residence landscape exemplifies how thoughtful landscaping can complement architectural elements, creating spaces that are both functional and serene.
Together, the vision of Pfau Long and Lutsko, the craftsmanship of Grassi & Associates, and the strategic use of Maiden Stone’s Salvia Blue Limestone culminate in a residence that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is deeply connected to its surroundings.
